work in progress <.....update later....
I was raised in Uganda for most of my life. I have a soft spot for it in my heart.
That soft spot was poked when I realised that I couldn't build my company there.
The problems I noted with the system here are the following
Almost 0 exposure. Whatever they teach here is practically useless (mention how business classes are basically setting people up for secretarial jobs. Innovation/building/creator efforts setting up is almost nowhere.) This was properly revealed when I decided to enroll myself for part-time business classes shortly after I had dropped out. I already have a problem with the whole academic industrial complex, But here, The business unis here are something else. The only benefit they give Ugandan citizens is preventing them from bearing the label of "non-graduate"
Funding is also a problem. Isn't too much a failure of the social system it's a broader economic one. We have entropy to blame for that. The fact that it costs energy to extract value is one that plagues everyone. And a problem that will be dealt with by more Tech technologies democratizing the cost of building. It's a matter of time for this one. Thank god for computational stuff. Lab work here is almost nonexistent. Hardware is too expensive.
Almost no community. India solved this. Lots of hacker houses and communities for start-up builders.(mention places like local host South Park Commons et cetera.) Need someone to commit to building a community of builders
