They Will Bring Us Back : A story about friendship, death, and the stubborn refusal to accept either

I sat down one weekend, opened up Claude and decided to finally write the short story I had been thinking about for the last year.

What if biotech doesn't save us in time? What if every scientist, engineer, VC and everyone else contributing to work on regenerative medicine and aging dies before the promise of super longevity is realised? Would it all have been for nothing? How cruel.

This story was me exploring that painful possibility and you'd be surprised how wholesome and reassuring it ends up becoming.
